What is freaky text?

“Freaky text” is an informal name for copyable Unicode text made intentionally strange with combining marks, unusual alphabets or visual effects. It is not a font file. This generator keeps the effect family focused on weird marks and distortion instead of duplicating the broad bold, italic and cursive styles in the Fancy Text Generator.

Why combining marks can look different

Slash, static, dot and glitch effects attach Unicode combining characters to ordinary letters. Fonts and apps can position those marks differently, and a character plus its marks may behave as several Unicode code points even when it looks like one visual unit. Always test copied text where you plan to use it.

Keep extreme effects out of essential text

Dense combining marks can reduce readability, interfere with line height and create noisy screen-reader output. Use freaky text for short decorative labels rather than instructions, accessibility labels, passwords or information someone must read accurately.

For a rotation-style transformation use the upside down text generator. For ordinary Unicode alphabets use Fancy Text, or add symbols around unchanged letters with the text decoration generator.

Is freaky text a downloadable font?

No. Results use Unicode characters and combining marks that can be copied as text.

Does it include extreme Zalgo?

No. The glitch preset is deliberately bounded to light or medium intensity to reduce excessive mark stacking.

Why can the same result look different elsewhere?

Font shaping and support for combining marks vary between apps, browsers and operating systems.

Is entered text sent to the server?

No. Transformation and copy preparation run in your browser.
