Browser-local text effect

Wave Text Generator

Make animated wavy text for web headings and accents. Adjust wave height, spacing, size and speed, preview it live, then copy lightweight HTML/CSS with a reduced-motion fallback.

Wavy text preview

Type text to preview a wave.

Wave effect vs. copy-and-paste font

This tool creates a visual CSS wave. The copied code is for webpages; it does not turn letters into a special Unicode “wave font.” For copy-and-paste Unicode styles, use the Fancy Text Generator.

How to make wavy text

  1. Type a short word or heading.
  2. Adjust wave height and spacing until the text stays readable.
  3. Set text size and animation speed.
  4. Copy the generated HTML/CSS into your webpage and test it at mobile widths.

The generator runs in your browser. Your entered text is not submitted by this tool.

Accessible wave text

Motion should be decorative, not required to understand the message. The generated CSS includes a prefers-reduced-motion fallback so people who request reduced motion get static text. Keep important body copy static and use animation sparingly for headings or accents.

Wave text, Unicode styles, or handwriting?

Use this page when you need a moving wave effect on a webpage. Use fancy text when you need Unicode characters that can be pasted into compatible apps. For actual cursive handwriting practice, use the cursive worksheet builder; decorative effects are not handwriting instruction.

Can I paste the wave effect into Instagram or a chat?

Not as an animation. CSS animation needs a webpage that can run CSS. Plain social-media fields do not carry the effect.

Does the tool upload my text?

No. The preview and code generation run locally in your browser.

Why does reduced-motion mode stop the animation?

It respects the viewer’s operating-system accessibility preference while keeping the text readable.

Is a wave font the same as cursive?

No. A wave is a visual text effect; cursive is a handwriting style with letter formation and joining behavior.
