Cursive Numbers 0–9 – Free Printable Practice

Practice writing the numerals 0 through 9 with clear spacing and printable model → trace → copy rows. This page uses the site’s Playwrite US Modern handwriting model as a visual reference; numeral details can vary between handwriting systems. Numerals are practiced separately rather than joined like cursive letters.

Cursive numbers are handwriting forms, not special Unicode digits.

For copy-and-paste text, standard digits normally stay 0–9. This page teaches handwritten number shapes, not a separate set of cursive Unicode digits.

Quick reference

Cursive numbers 0–9

Keep the numeral shapes recognizable and use the same comfortable slant you use in your handwriting system. Exact forms can vary by teaching model, so follow the model used by your school or teacher when one is required.

The visual reference here uses Playwrite US Modern from TypeTogether’s Playwrite family under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. It is a consistent practice model, not a claim that every cursive system forms numerals the same way.

How to practice cursive numbers

  1. Study one numeral at a time and notice its height, slant and where it sits on the baseline.
  2. Trace the model slowly before copying it without tracing.
  3. Write each numeral separately; do not connect a run such as 2026 into one joined stroke.
  4. Then practice useful combinations such as dates, ages, prices and house numbers while keeping spacing even.

Practice numbers in real writing

After single digits, try 10, 25, 100, 2026 and a date such as October 5, 2026. The numerals remain separate; the surrounding words can use your normal cursive joins. For letter practice, use the cursive alphabet. For custom printable text, use the cursive worksheets.

Are cursive numbers joined together?

No. In normal handwriting practice, numerals are separate shapes even when the surrounding words are written in joined cursive.

Is there one universal cursive form for every number?

No. Numeral details can vary between handwriting systems. Consistency and legibility matter more than inventing a single universal form.

Can I copy and paste cursive numbers?

Standard Unicode digits usually remain ordinary 0–9. Decorative websites may style digits visually, but that is different from learning handwritten numeral forms.

Can I print this practice sheet?

Yes. Use Print / Save as PDF and choose your printer or PDF destination.
