What the handwriting guides mean

The baseline is where most letters sit. The midline gives a reference for the main body of many lowercase letters. Optional slant guides can help you compare the angle of repeated strokes. Letterforms and proportions vary by handwriting style, so use the guides as practice references.

Cursive lined paper preset

Use the Cursive preset for a quick blank practice sheet with the standard row height, dashed midline and light slant guides enabled. It is a visual consistency aid, not a rule that every handwriting style must use the same slant.

Print at 100% or Actual Size when your print dialog offers scaling. “Fit to page” can rescale the physical guide spacing, so check the final paper size before relying on measured row heights.

Use it with cursive practice
