PNG exports the rendered pixels, so it is the safer choice when you need the same visual appearance on another device. The SVG remains scalable but stores text styled with Playwrite US Modern; an external app without that font can substitute a fallback. Neither export is copyable Unicode script text. How this cursive font generator works

  1. Type a short word, name or heading.
  2. Adjust text size, weight, alignment and padding.
  3. Choose dark or light artwork and an opaque or transparent background.
  4. Download PNG for a portable exact-look image, or SVG when you want scalable text artwork and can keep Playwrite US Modern available in the destination app.

Rendering happens locally in your browser. The tool does not submit the text you type to WordPress or place it in the page URL.

PNG or SVG?

PNGRaster image. Convenient for slides, documents and image editors. Transparent background is available.
SVGVector artwork. It stays sharp when resized and stores the rendered text as vector paths only when converted by design software; this download embeds text styling, so font availability can affect rendering in some external apps.

For dependable SVG appearance outside the browser, open the SVG in an editor that has the Playwrite font available or convert text to outlines there. This tool does not claim to create a new font file.

About the handwriting model

The renderer uses Playwrite US Modern from TypeTogether’s Playwrite family under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. It is one cursive model, not a universal definition of handwriting. For learning letterforms rather than making artwork, use the Cursive Alphabet and Cursive Worksheets.

Good uses for rendered cursive text

Try short headings, name cards, labels, presentation graphics and personal design mockups. Keep essential information available as normal text too: an image of words is less accessible than real HTML text unless the surrounding page provides an equivalent text alternative.

Is this the same as a cursive copy-and-paste generator?

No. This tool renders a real typeface into image artwork. The Unicode generator creates characters you can copy as text.

Can I download a cursive font file?

No. The tool renders with the site’s licensed font; it does not package or redistribute a font file.

Can the PNG background be transparent?

Yes. Choose transparent background before downloading the PNG.

Does my text get uploaded?

No. Preview and export are generated in your browser.
