How copyable underline text works
Normal rich-text underlining is formatting and may disappear when pasted into a plain-text field. This tool instead adds a Unicode combining mark after eligible characters. The line is therefore part of the copied character sequence, although the destination app and font still decide how it is drawn.
Single vs. double, wavy and dotted underline
Single underline uses the combining low line (U+0332), double underline uses the combining double low line (U+0333), wavy uses combining tilde below (U+0330), and dotted uses combining diaeresis below (U+0324). These are combining marks, not four downloadable fonts.
Spaces, line breaks and repeated conversion
By default, spaces stay plain so words remain visually separated. Turn on Underline spaces when you want the mark applied across spaces too. Line breaks are always preserved. If you paste output from this tool back into the input, its supported underline marks are removed before the selected style is applied again, which prevents accidental stacking.
Accessibility and search
Decorative combining marks may be announced inconsistently by screen readers and can affect search, selection or validation in some fields. Keep a plain-text version for important names, instructions and accessibility-sensitive content.

Is underlined output an image?
No. It is copyable Unicode text with combining marks attached to characters.
Will underline work everywhere?
No. Rendering and filtering vary by app, field, browser, operating system and font. Always test the final destination.
Can I underline multiple lines?
Yes. Newlines are preserved, and each line is converted independently.
Does the tool upload my text?
No. Conversion and copy preparation run in your browser; this tool does not submit the entered text to WordPress.
