Accessible CSS text effect

Blinking Text Generator

Create a controlled blinking or pulsing text effect for a webpage. Preview it, pause it instantly, adjust timing, and copy lightweight HTML/CSS with a reduced-motion fallback.

Preview ready.

Important: blinking is not copy-and-paste text.

The motion comes from CSS, so it works on webpages that can use CSS. Pasting the words into a bio, chat or document will paste ordinary static text. For decorative copyable Unicode, use the Fancy Text Generator.

How to create blinking text

  1. Type a short heading or label.
  2. Choose a gentle blink or soft pulse and adjust the cycle duration.
  3. Use Pause preview whenever you do not need to watch the motion.
  4. Copy the generated HTML/CSS and test it in the page where it will be used.

This generator processes your text locally in your browser; the tool does not submit what you type.

Use blinking text carefully

Repeated flashing can be distracting and can create accessibility problems. This tool intentionally keeps the effect slow, includes an immediate pause control, and generates a prefers-reduced-motion rule so visitors who request less motion see static text. Do not rely on blinking alone to communicate an error, warning or required action.

Blinking text vs. wave text

Blinking changes the visibility of the whole line. The Wave Text Generator offsets individual letters vertically for a moving wave. Both are visual webpage effects; neither is a special Unicode font. For handwriting learning, use the Cursive Worksheets instead.

Can I copy blinking text into Instagram or Discord?

You can copy the words, but the blinking animation will not travel with plain text. The animation needs CSS on a webpage.

Does the preview have a pause button?

Yes. Pause stops the animation immediately without deleting your text or settings.

What happens with reduced-motion settings?

The preview and generated CSS disable the animation when the device requests reduced motion.

Does this upload my text?

No. Preview and code generation run in your browser.
